Doncs si. Finalment el gran dia ha arribat. Demà faré el FCE. No sé què passarà, però espero que les meves optimistes previsions es facin realitat. Aquesta setmana hem fet diferents simulacres de tots els tipus d'examens que farem demà (Use of English, Listening, Writing, Reading i Listening) i el promig és força bo, per més que en el Listening d'avui he baixat el promig d'encert, dels 25 o 27 sobre 30 que faig normalment, a tants sols 18... Segur que demà sortirà millor...
Però bé, el cert és que en writing vaig obtenir una B+ i una A, o sigui, la millor qualificació possible. A continuació escric l'absurda i poc imaginativa història que vaig fer. Realment és avorrida i absurda, però baso la meva escriptura més en l'ús de fórmules gramaticals que sé que agraden als examinadors (tals com passives o reported speech) més que no pas en la pròpia trama de la història. La tasca consiteix en escriure una història d'entre 120 i 180 paraules començant per la frase que et dónen ells. Aquí la teniu.
My day started badly, but it got better and better.
When I woke up, I realised that I had been robbed. During the night a thief had broken into my house and lots of things had been removed or broken.
After the initial fear, I went to the police station to explain what had happened, but unfortunately I was told that they couldn't do anything for me because I hadn't seen the thief's face. After this, I went to a bar in order to relax, and while I was drinking a coke, a strange man sat next to me. He told me that he wanted to give me a present.
The strange man opened his wallet and gave me a lotery ticket for that night. After this, the man suddenly disappeared. When I looked at that ticket, I couldn't believe what I saw, as the ticket number was 1979, the year that I was born! Absolutely weird, I thought.
That evening I was listening to the radio when I heard the lotery results, and my ticket was the winner! I was rich! I couldn't believe it!
